The hands behind the paper
Ive loved stationery for as long as I can remember.
Not just the idea of it - but the actual physical thing. The weight of a good notepad in your hand. The way a beautiful cover makes you want to open it. The small pleasure of writing on paper that feels like it was made to be written on.
For a long time, I looked for stationery that felt the way I wanted it to feel - original, considered, a little beautiful. Something that wasn’t mass-produced or generic. Something that had a point of view and a bit of humour. I couldn’t quite find what I was looking for, so eventually I decided to make it myself.
That’s how Susan’s Stationery began.
Every notepad is designed and handmade by me, here in the UAE. The illustrations are coloured and finished in a watercolour style that I keep coming back to because it feels warm, a little whimsical and quietly timeless. The papers are chosen carefully and the covers are finished by hand.
I create across different worlds - stationery is one of them - and what connects everything I make is the same instinct: that the things you use every day should be worth pausing for.
I hope you find something here that feels like it was made for you. Because in a way, it was.
Susan
